1. National Cyber Security Awareness Month Launch (NCSAM)
Date: October 1st
Location: Burma Hall, Accra
October is a month set aside for a global cybersecurity awareness campaign since 2004. In our jurisdiction, the campaign is spearheaded by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) with the theme “combating misinformation and disinformation in a digitally resilient democracy”.
The event aims to encourage collaboration and coordination among stakeholders to develop comprehensive strategies for combating the spread of false information online.
In case you missed it, Ghana is ranked among the best cybersecurity countries in the World by the Global Cyber Security Index Report 2024.
2. Ghana digital and innovation week 2024
Date: October 2nd – 4th
Location: Accra International Conference Centre
Ghana Digital and Innovation Week has been in existence since 2021 to showcase Ghana’s digital advancements and foster innovation within the country’s tech ecosystem.
Among the tech events in Ghana, this year’s theme is “Innovate Together: Collaborating for Digital Transformation and Impact” which underscores the power of collaboration in driving innovation and digital transformation.
This event will assemble individuals from different sectors to inspire, celebrate successes, foster commitment and encourage collaboration.
3. Lisk Builders Hangout Accra
Date: October 5th
Location: Accra
Lisk Builders Hangout is a tech event in Ghana for all blockchain nerds. Make it a date to attend if you are a blockchain developer, a newbie in blockchain or find blockchain interesting to you.
4. GCHRA 2024
Date: 24th – 25th October
Location: Labadi beach hotel, Accra
Global Conference on Human Resources in Africa (GCHRA) is an event designed for HR professionals, industry leaders, and technology experts to gather and discuss the latest trends and innovations in human resources.
The event may not be your ideal tech event, but this year’s theme, “A Global Discourse on Exploring the Emergence and Dynamics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human Resource Technologies in Africa,” puts AI at the forefront. 5. PythonHo Conference 2024
Date: October 25th – 26th, 2024
Location: University of Health and Allied Sciences (Trafalgar Campus)
The PythonHo Conference 2024 will be the inaugural regional Python conference organized by volunteers from the developer and Python community in and around the Volta region of Ghana.
This tech event in Ghana will celebrate the activities, achievements, and contributions of the developer community within and beyond the region. Its primary aim is to unite the Volta community.
