AI-powered document processing firm ParaScript has entered the African market through a new partnership with BIRGER., a leading technology solutions provider in Eastern Africa.
The collaboration will support commercial banks in Mauritius by automating high-volume check processing and strengthening fraud detection. BIRGER., which has already deployed check truncation solutions across several Mauritian banks, identified the need for advanced technology to reduce manual processes and bolster fraud defenses.
Under the partnership, ParaScript’s CheckXpert.AI SDK and SignatureXpert.AI SDK will provide automated data extraction, fraud detection, and verification. ParaScript’s systems, trained on millions of check images, deliver up to 99.9% accuracy with multi-image processing, helping banks lower operational costs while maintaining fraud prevention.
David Gerber, Senior Vice President of Sales at ParaScript, said the partnership combines BIRGER.’s banking expertise with ParaScript’s proven recognition and fraud detection technology. He added that the collaboration will accelerate digital transformation for Mauritian banks while improving protection against fraud.
The deal highlights ParaScript’s commitment to supporting global financial institutions with AI-driven payment processing, fraud prevention, and document automation.
