NTT Data has come up with a report that portrays how organizations are strategizing for Gen AI as they start investing in approaches to change how they do business.
The report, titled Global GenAI Report: How Organizations are Mastering their GenAI Destiny in 2025, featured over 2,300 GenAI decision-makers and influencers from organisations across 12 industries in 34 countries.
Key insights from the report
- More than 60% of those surveyed believe GenAI will be a game changer within two years.
- Almost 70% are optimistic about the technology.
- Nearly two-thirds of the respondents are planning to invest significantly in GenAI in the next two years.
- 83% have already established robust or expert GenAI teams.
- Nearly half strongly feel GenAI is an opportunity to differentiate and improve both their efficiency and their profitability.
- Only 1% of the C-suite see GenAI as being overhyped; most acknowledge that GenAI may be a long game and that it will take time to optimize.
- Over 9 in 10 are using GenAI extensively to collect and interpret customer data.
- 98% of respondents are investing in GenAI and <1% say they have no plans to invest in it.
- 83% of organizations say they have a GenAI strategy in place.
The report further shows that organizations mostly use GenAI for:
- Personalized service recommendations and knowledge management
- Product and service design, research and development (R&D)
- Quality control
- Risk assessment and fraud detection
- Process automation
