LinkedIn, the job searching platform, is enhancing its services by introducing AI capabilities to provide career coaching guidance and generate recommendations for cover letters, resumes, and CVs for its premium users according to a blog post by Rohan Rajiv.
Artificial Intelligence is a hot cake in the tech industry now and as companies strive for the AI push, there is an intense battle of whose AI works better. Meta just incorporated Meta AI in all their apps including WhatsApp Business, X has Grok AI, Snapchat and other social media apps are also in the race.
LinkedIn has joined the trend by incorporating AI features to cut down the job search process for users and provide career guidance.
AI for job searching
The AI allows you to search for jobs by typing a prompt. For instance, you can type a prompt like “find me a remote software engineering job in London that pays more than $500 a month”. This cuts down the job seeking process and find you jobs in minutes.
AI as a career coach
Not just job seeking, you can rely on the AI for professional career advice. The AI model has been trained with knowledge from industry experts which tend to impersonate them in it’s response.
AI for reviewing resume and writing cover letters
LinkedIn’s AI feature enables users to submit their resume for personalized feedback to tailor it for specific job applications. Users can iteratively edit their resumes with the guidance of AI, as indicated in the blog post. Additionally, the platform offers a tool that leverages AI to assist users in composing cover letters from scratch.
