The company acted swiftly to contain the issue and has enlisted cybersecurity experts to assist in investigating the breach.
Although the full scope of the incident is still under assessment, Cell C acknowledges that a limited number of customer data may have been accessed.
According to them, they are working to identify the affected data and encouraging customers to take immediate action by updating their passwords. Customers are also advised to remain vigilant to potential fraud, following the breach.
